New Member ID Cards for both Blue Cross and St. Luke's Health Partners Participants

As part of Blue Cross's ongoing systems upgrade, members in Self-Funded plans will be receiving new member ID cards with new ID numbers effective June 1, 2024.

As part of Blue Cross of Idaho’s ongoing work to give the best service to our members, we are updating some of our internal systems. Because of these system upgrades, we are assigning new member ID numbers and reissuing member ID cards.

New ID cards will begin mailing in mid-May, and most members should have them by June 1.

New member ID cards and ID numbers should be used after June 1. Members should destroy their old ID cards once they receive a new one.

Any claims filed with your old member ID number will still be processed as we transition to the new ID numbers.

No. If members are already registered at members.bcidaho.com, they don’t need to make any changes.

Members will get a letter explaining the change with their new ID cards. This letter will be sent with the new ID card.
